Live Oak Tree Update

We are excited to plant 4 Monterrey oaks in the area between 18 and 10 fairway this week.  This is part of our tree replacement plan and look forward to planting some more this fall and winter. 

Last Week Rains

With the  well needed rain last week we fell behind on mowing. Fairways, tees, and especially rough are very tall. We will spend this week trying to mow as much as possible to get us back in shape. Also With the rain we have seen numerous ant mounds popping up. So please keep your eyes open and be careful.

Weekly rain totals.

This weeks rainfall total hit 3". It will be cart path only probably until Monday.

Irrigation on #1

In an effort to help the rough right of 1 fairway we have added 2 addition sprinkler heads. This should help water coverage in the area and help with grass coverage. Our hopes are with potentially thicker rough it should aid in less ball roll out from the tee shot.

New Drop Area

We are glad to announce the opening of the new drop area on #3 Live Oak. The mat will make for a more playable and consistent lie to hit off of.

Frost Delay

Today we are looking at a frost delay probably in the 9:30 range. As of 7:00 at the Yaupon shop the temperature is 30 degrees. 

Cold Start today

Today we have no frost delay but a cold 38 with high winds. With lots of sun the Friday LMGA is on time with at 9:00 start at Live Oak.
